Sharing a quick snapshot and fun facts of some of our favorite historical figures in African-American history. Couldn't kick this month off with anyone other than the legendary queen, Ms. Cicely Tyson (1924-2021). Who knew that she was the godmother of Lenny Kravitz, Denzel Washington's daughter, & Tyler Perry's son? Her body of work is incredible, with an endless list of TV & Film roles in addition her award-winning performances on Broadway. May she rest in perfect peace and her life's work to never be forgotten.
